Style Card - Cottage and Productive Gardens
Q. Are the plant selections zone-specific?
A. The plant list includes selections from Hardiness Zones 3 through to 11. You adapt your choices within the plants suggested to suit your zone.
Q. Are the recommended plants commonly available?
A. Yes, a cottage garden typically has a broad range of well-known and timeless classics. If there are plants you can’t access, the list includes the intended plant form, so you can substitute without losing the design intent.
Q. How do the templates work for irregular shaped sites?
A. There are four templates. Some provide modular options for moving design blocks to suit your space and flow; all can be flipped or rotated depending on your orientation. All consider slope and where terracing and steps can be added. Odd corners can be filled with plants from the plant list.
Q. Can you personally assist in applying Style Card to my garden?
A. I do provide onsite (Canberra region) or virtual consultations as part of my normal services. You can book a session if you require a personalised approach. Separate fees apply.
